Bushwalking in Canberra

The Canberra Bushwalking Club organises walks in the Canberra and south east NSW region and sometimes further afield. The club aims to provide an interesting and varied program of walks each weekend, ranging in difficulty from easy day and part-day walks suitable for beginners through to multi day off track walks for experienced walkers only.

A modified version of the latest activity program is available here. For privacy and security reasons, the names and telephone numbers of most leaders have been removed. To become a member you first need to go on a walk.

The Club meets at 8pm on the third Wednesday of the month (except December and January) at St Johns church hall, Constitution Ave, Reid. Many of the programs are illustrated talks about walks people have done, while others are designed to inform members about various aspects of walking. Non-members are welcome at these meetings.

In December and January, the meetings are replaced by a Christmas Party and an outdoors social event (barbecue or picnic) at an outdoors location close to Canberra.
